G'day folks.
I have recently purchased a 1974 Toyota Trayback cruiser for farm work. It has the old "F" engine. My question is, do I need to add an additive to the unleaded fuel I put in it? If so, which one?
Secondly, is there a particular brand or type of oil that I should use with this donk?
Thanks in advance.

Granite some flashlube upper cycliner lube would be ok @ 1ml per liter this will help protect from valve seat recession. In regards to oil any good oil would be ok Shell, Castrol, Mobil, Valvoline etc etc.

Use a .17 Rem most of time :) , but the .243 with 55gn ballistic tips does work a treat :waycool:

55gn out of a 243 :-) ( its the way matter splatters that matters ) went out fox shooting last night it got that windy even at 200 yards was pushing the 50gr nearly 3". We ended up using the oldmans 25-06 with 110gn Noslers just to combat the wind on some of the longer shots.
I remember one time up at Warracknabeal the wind was that strong and because of it being so flat and tree less up there I was using the good ol 303 with Sierra 174gn HPBT match pills. It ended up a expensive day and night but what fun ( 18 foxes with the longest shot taken was just over 600 yards ) helps when ur running a 20 power Leupold scope..

Six hundred yards - good stuff! 320 is my best on a rabbit. The cousin took out a crow at 450 once. The .243 will push the 55 grainers at 4000fps if you load them up to near max. Keep mine down a bit to preserve the barrel, but still rolling around 3600. Have you tried the Barnes 36gn "Grenades" in the 22-250 yet? They supposed to work rather emphatically! ;) Off in a couple of days out Cobar way for a week to do my bit for the environment (and dispatch a significant number of ferals) :D

You are very conservative with your loads on the 243 the 50gn out of the 250 are doing when lats checked just on 3750 fps, I can push harder but like you replacing barrels isn't cheap. I have a few properties that on a calm day sit back about 400 yards with the 250 and bust bunnies. I haven't tryed the Barnes pills before since I found the current load I use. It shots .25 MOA but after 15 or so shots it starts to fall due to copper fouling which is a bit of a pain ( cleaning in the field ).
Have fun up at Cobar.
