Well, i'm getting close to organising things, and I think the first on my list will be a rear ARb locker. I'm just wondering first up, are all places the same price for the lockers and compressor set up?
And mainly: Where's the best place to buy them and get them installed from? From ARB themselves or somewhere else? Experiences? Comments?
I'm Western Sydney.
G,day Bryan, i got my first one through Tjm at emu plains, they took 2 weeks to get it in, the second one i bought direct from arb, in moorebank, you could also go through Suburban 4wd in Minchinbury, they are an Arb agent, expect to pay about $1170 +$350 for fitting
you still going to get an SAS conversion on the front, im definately going ahead with mine, so ill have a good second hand front ifs locker for sale in the next few months

Mate, i'm thinking right now i'm going to leave it. I might take your path and try and exploit the IFS till i need the SAS. Purely to save money now.
So yeah, i'd say i'll be very interested in that front one, assuming the V6 shares the same diff etc.......... I don't know how i'd find thta out, I know the gearbox is different to the Hilux's (bigger)
the v6 runs the same front diff, obviously yours being a petrol would probably be a different ratio, but the air locker ive got would still fit it, ill give you a yell when ive done the SAS

Sounds good. My current plan was to do the rear, then maybe later think about a Lokka for the front, but i never thought of a second hand unit.
I got a reply from Nick Mannell staright away (unusual.) The price seems pretty good for the labour seeing as the quotes drive in drive out:
Compressor is $270
Locker is $1195
Fitting $450
Xmas special is free pump up kit.
Let me know how we go with response time in answering this e-mail & pricing.
Talk soon.

Well the email was:
Just after a quick quote on supply and fit of an ARB air compressor and one ARB AirLocker to the rear of my 1994 Toyota 4Runner RV6. I'm after a drive in drive out price, to be done before christmas.
So i guess it's the total price. Someone at OLimits suggested I try Sam as he does some good deals.
