Hi all, Im just at the stage of trying to work out what engine to put in my fj55. I started to settle on a holden 308 turbo pattern and bought the conversion kit to suit. Now Im having second thoughts about that motor and am sort of deciding whether to put a fuel injected vn 5 litre in it. What I want to know is:

Every fuel injected 5.0 litre I have seen has a front facing sump bowel. Can I directly exhange the rear facing sump and oil pickup off the 308 and put it straight onto the efi motor or will I have to have something made up?

Thank, Matt

the 308 sump and pick up will fit the efi motor same thing i had to do when i fitted one to my 75.

And you could sell your commodore sump to someone doing a hilux v8 conversion. ;)

Thats the sort of thing I would give away, otherwise it would end up in the shed forever!
