Clutch for a 04 v6 hilux

hey all well havnt drivin my car for over a month an went to take it for a quick spin today an couldnt get it into gear. rang my mate thats a mechanic an he rekons i got mud or sumthin on the clutch, prob right as the last thing i did was a creek crossing 200m from my house an just parked it

just wonderin wat is a good clutch ppl reconmend an anythin that may stop this happenin in the future
