I have a 2000 GXL cruiser and it keeps leaking when it rains on the drivers side.
Is this a common problem? The car stinks as the carpet is wet everytime it rains.
I think its coming down the pillar. Any advice appreciated, thanks.

Do you have a roofrack? If so I guarantee its coming down the threads of the mounting holes in the roof. Mine was leaking in the middle point on the driver's side. Used auto selastic around mounting bolts, no more problem.

check around where your snorkel screws to the a pillar as well. bet its got square plugs in round holes like mine! i just pulled the screws and put a piece of rubber under the bracket and screwed him back on.

Mine HZJ105 was leaking where the black plastic strip is secured either side of the windscreen. I stripped the carpets out & hosed the screen & watched the water run down the inside of the pillar.
Had the screen sealed professionally, but the to remove plastic strips the plenum under the windscreen wipers and the wipers had to be removed. Took about 1hr to complete.

Mine was leaking somewhere (I suspect the roofrack mounting spots) and allowing water to accumulate in right rear well.....I had to remove the rubber bung to drain it. When I put the roofrack on before our recent trip I used plenty of Silastic on the studs but haven't been in any rain yet to check it. Might use the hose.

be sure that if the windscreen has been or is going to be replaced that genuine rivets with the seals underneath are used otherwise water will leak there also and cause the junction blocks to corrode creating havoc.
