Hey everyone, I was just wondering if i would be able to use a holley blue fuel pump as the pick up pump on my diesel v8 chev insted of the orig mechanical pump.
Is it possible to put to much diesel pressure in to the injector pump? as the holley blue can go up to 14psi and the mechanical pump does about 8psi or so??

Hi, ISICK6, yes, no problems doing that, they work very well but noisy. Make sure you fit a Holly regulator and adjust it to7-8 psi, any higher and it will change the advance curve of the injector pump. Fortunately the only part that will fit the Diesel, is the Chev v8 petrol pump blanking off plate, they are easy to get from the auto shops, Chrome too; and remove the push rod from its bore. Les
