hey all,
i have a surf which i will be getting a SAS done too, spring coils in the front, now i was also thinking about changing the motor from the 3ltr in there to the new D4D intercooled 3ltr motor. Got a price today from the local toyota dealer and for the motor i would be looking at $6300 minus the turbo, but i think that the turbo from my current motor should fit.
my question to you all out there..
would the d4d motor match up to the gearbox/transmission of the surf at all??
some of you or maybe a lot of you are wondering why the hell would i want to do something like that..my thoughts, i dont want a patrol or landcruiser as they are just too big when its myself!! i would love a prado however, to get a new or 2nd hand one is just a little to out of the price range and prados only having IFS would be an issue once again as the surf is already highly modified..
so just after your thoughts and whether or not the D4D would match up the surf gearbox/transmission.
