Navara D40 metal filings in sump

I just had an interesting conversation with a bloke who owns a D40
Last service (40,000) they found metal filings in the sump, is this a common problem with the 2.5 diesel?? ie the magnet on the sump plug had some metal filings attached to it

Ouch, the only issue I've heard of with the 2.5 diesel is that they are known to throw rods due to poor quality big end bolts, but I've only heard this about the 2.5 on overseas forums, where they've had that motor for a bit longer than us, thus far I haven't heard of any Aussie 2.5's doing the same thing.
