Or check this out and dont make biodiesel, run yor diesel on its original fuel source, straight vegie oil.
Vegie Cars - VegieCars, Chip Oil, Veggie Cars, WVO, SVO, UCO, Veggie Oil, Carbon Cops, Biodiesel, Biofuel (http://www.vegiecars.com/)

Or this one:
Bio Fuels Forums - Powered by vBulletin (http://www.biofuelsforum.com/)
or
Biodiesel & SVO Forums - Powered by eve community (http://biodiesel.infopop.cc/6/ubb.x?a=cfrm&s=447609751)
The second one is the better forum of the two, but they both discuss both bio and SVO

vegecars is a blatent ripoff. If you wanna run straight vegeoil their is much better systems available for less cost. its not so good for anyone that does short trips either or those with more modern direct injection vehicles.
i would disagree with marki on the better of the two forums. I believe that the biofuelsforum.com is particularily better for beginers and is australian based so much of the content is more relative to aussies. the info pop is gret for more advanced brewers wishing to hone their techniquies.

basicly its oil, ethanol, and caustic soda.
ethanol is difficult to obtain in pure form and is harder to make high conversion biodiesel from so 99% of bio makers actually use methanol which is redily obtainable from race shops and some caltex distributers. and caustic soda is fine however caustic potash is much easier to use but costs a little more. and not just any oil will do either Eg motor oils are no good. you need vegetable oils or animal fats ( basically anything from a deep frier.)
Hope this helps.
PS its not just chuckin them together either. if your keen do your homework and learn lots before attempting it.
Cheers Nick.

PM me with the vegecars system your interested in, vehicle type and year and your location and i'll give you some similar systems and /or installers ok. I just don't wont to take this tread off track as its about Biodiesel not SVO systems.
I hope you understand.
Cheers Nick.

Gday Harb
what are you up to here???
DJ Russ has the plans and the oil and is keen to get into it;)
after the diesel hit $1.82/lt this week I have been doing some serious reading up on this too, also the boss lady is loosing her job in a couple of weeks so its back to a straight pension. $150 to fill the tank in the old GQ once every two weeks hits hard when on a pension
it cant be much harder than the moonshine I make so I might just have to get the welder out and try making the stuff (so we can go wheeling around Woopi more often):D
cheers Murf
