G'day folks
I'm another sandgroper - retired, although I still climb on the tractor and air seeder at seeding time to help put the crop in (about 15000 acres) - love driving the big machinery, even at nearly 59 years young. Also love my 4WDing all round this great country and have done some great trips over the last 35 years. eg 4 CSR trips and another one next year, all going well. I really enjoy the desert country and will be out there again on Len Beadell's tracks in a few weeks. Current fourbie is a 100 diesel Cruiser (135000 kms) with all the usual suspension and bar work, plus a Safari intercooler/turbo, which they need because they're real slugs without 'em. Problems with the Cruiser? - transmission, which have plagued each of the 4 Cruisers i've owned - they are definitely not as strong in the transmission as the Patrols, which we have also discovered on the farm. Perhaps it's time for a change?? Great to read all your comments, especially from those who really know what they're on about.
