I have the 76 series with the same drive train. We just love driving it. Great for towing have had no problems yet have 13000ks on the clock now.

79 series ute here, no problems at all so far.

Be prepared for a long wait when you order, most are in the 3-6 month
range from memory.

As for fuel consumption, I'm getting about 12.5 litres/100km from mine (note it's run on 33's and the canopy nearly fully loaded all the time).

Hope the info helps .............

Both my dad my brother have got new 76 series crusiers and we all think theyre pretty good, no troubles but dad only got his about 4 months ago and my brother 2, theres a decent wait on them tho, id surgest if you want difflocks then get them from ARB or sombody else, factory lockers seem to add about 3-4 months on the waiting list

so far so good only one minor issue had to get the front disc's skimmed due to a very sight run out. 25,000k's so far and very happy with my 76.

Dad picked his up a few weeks ago and the central locking (GXL) was faulty from new, but thats the only problem and it got replaced under warranty.

Had mine since Sep 07 and have travelled 12,000km's in it. NIL problems to date average around the 11.5L per 100k's pretty consistent, wether around town or on highway. Suits me to a tee love the V8TD and the vehicle as a whole you will not be disappointed.

Cheers
