anyone know where i can get a 2in body lift kit for my '83 fj45 without paying a ridiculous price through snake?

i want the whole kit with bolts, washers etc...

i know i could make my own but dont have the time to stuff around with it or resources to do it.

them ones off ebay arent much help either, they all want to know what size bolts they have standard and ive got no idea atm!
im not gunna start pulling stuff apart untill ive got the gear in front of me to repalce it.

thanks fellas!:thumb:

Hey zordo. I would like to put a body lift in my 82 fj45 when i start to put it back together, but im not too sure what happens with the steering column. Does it still work ok with a 2in body lift?

I like the price of your full body lift kit so i might buy one when i know what happens with the coloumn. Also what are you body blocks made out of?

Thanks, Matt.

yeah what matt said ^^^^

matt, i was also worried about what needs modding with a 2in body lift, been hearing conflicting advice.
decided to ring a mate in broken hill who has a 45 that is comp ready (competes in outback challenge) to find out what the deal is...
these guys own the local 4x4 shop up there and have had it for 25 odd years and probably about the only joint around where you will get guaranteed great service and a wealth of experiance and no bull $h!t what so ever!

he said he didnt have to mod anything apart from grinding out the gear stick hole/s in the trans cover... he said even that was only a pi$$ ant lil bit anyway, all your wiring, steering column etc has enough play to make do...
brake lines are fine as they have like a pigs tail coil in them so they can expand/be lengthened.

any bigger things will have to be played with though
