 STOLEN FROM TAMWORTH INDUSTRIAL AREA
We were doing an engine swap for a customer and during this, the turbo, exhaust manifold & lines were stolen from the vehicle - they broke into our yard, into our dyno room, used our tools to do the job, took the hilux parts as well as a new carby of a ski boat we had in the yard - then for who know What reason, put the tools back in our dyno room and closed the door.
Police have fingerprints but this is going to take a while and in the meantime the customer has moved back to QLD and obviously wants his car back.
If anyone has any info about the theft or if anyone can help with replacing these parts, it would be greatly appreciated.
The vehicle is a 98 3 Litre diesel (5L engine) and it was a safari turbo. Apparently the 2L and 3L exhaust manifold are the same?
Thanks.

Thats very unusual... They obviously new what they wanted and new where it was.... I would be looking very close to home on this one....
I would assume that you would have some extremely expensive tools in the dyno room aswell... ( and they wernt touched? )
Good luck with it...

I guess the only problem is with fingerprints is that there only usefull if the scum bag has had his prints taken by the police in the past...
For your sake I hope he has....

mate sorry to hear about your loss. some people are f****ng low lifes.
3L and 5Lshare the same exhaust manifold. same inlet too but the 3L goes horizontal and 5L has 90 degree bend and faces vertical.

Yep weak. It is strange the tools were left behind, if it is an inside job makes you wonder that the perp left the tools because it would disrupt his work and make it hard for him. Just a thought mate and I hope you get something back, whether it's parts or charges.

Yep, not a random act of burgularly, someone or someones knew the stuff was there so had seen it there beforehand. Broke in took what they wanted of someone elses property but didn't want to take your tools. I reckon you know them as they did not have the heart to steal your stuff only that of someone they didn't know. Sorry I can't be of help, hope you find them.
