Sound is definitely improved with a new system.
I over did it on my 80 and spent a fortune. However a mate has recently done his Troopy and did a good job.
It will free up the breathing of the motor in the upper rev range. My 80 didn't like going near 3000rpm, but after, it spun happily up to 4000+rpm.
It does improve economy and performance... a bit.
I'd suggest going 3" with a straight through muffler, and if you decide to turbo it later, that part won't need changing.
I'd also suggest kicking the tailpipe out the side to avoid crushing it, due to the horrid Toyota "fat arse" departure angle.

Thanks for the reply Beu77Y i was thinking between a 2.5' or 3' and the tailpipe out the side because the standed muffler sits under the sub tank so if I buy a longrange tank (180l) it wood be in the way PS like your rig and the colour

Thanks, it does look good when it's clean.... but it's a bitch to keep clean!
Not to mention the car park scratches!
Give me a white Cruiser any day....
