View Full Version : 4WD Action - Best 4WD of 2008
G'day all,
Just letting everyone know that for the last week or so we've had the Best 4WD of 2008 voting form up for you to choose who wins this year's Best 4WD of 2008, whether it's the Patrol or Landcruiser that takes home the title.
I've added the live stats to the home page which will show who's winning so far in the polls, and we'll keep that live until a few days before the final date of voting, Monday 21/04/08.
You can vote for Best 4WD of 2008 at http://www.4wdaction.com.au/best4wd/ and view the current homepage at http://www.4wdaction.com.au/.
Ok what about the results am I blind I can't find them on the site.
Thanks
Chris

The Patrol won, I found that out on the Patrol forum.
I knew this site was very Toyota biased, but I find it pathetic that the results weren't posted up by the mods of this site.
If the landcruiser won it would the most viewed thread on here.
Dave.
Moderators Hello Are you going to put this up on the main site or in the mag? I thought the DVD and the ad on the site said the reults were going to be posted for all to see?

Oh please, give it a break....it's pritty obvious it's not toyota biased by the fact that the patrol won around about 70 -30 in the end
I would imagine that the results and rant are being saved for the mag

I got issue 120 yesterday and it looks like the comparisons have moved on to a new comparison. Still no results for best 4wd of 2008 published that I could see easily. I’ll have a look but I didn't see any when I had a quick look.

yeah 4wdAction has a longer lead time than other mags about 3 months - it's printed overseas....so I'd wait at least three months from when voting stopped

I don't understand why people get so hung up about biases, if this forum is so pathetic why read and post here?
As for the results it was obvious that the patrol would win, after all it was "The Best 4WD of 2008", not "The Soccer Mums Car of 2008", hence the 70-30 split, we are all 4WD owners here.
Some just whinge and whine more than others...
G'day guys,

What the?
This site is member based. that means that if it is toyota biased it's because there are more people on here that own toyotas than any other fourby. Not the mags fault.
The cruiser didn't win so the if's buts and maybe's are a waste of time.
I don't like cruisers or toyotas in general, never have, but if you look at the posts about the 200 series on this forum they are largely, IMHO, people blowing sunshine up their own a***s telling us all how much their new car was and how big it makes them feel.
Let's wait and see what happens when the new patrol arrives and it will be the complete opposite. Patrol owners justifying the expense of a new truck to their critics.

Geez! Who cares who won. We all have our preferences and opinions on the different makes and models out there and just because Nissan won it for 08, next year it might be the new Lada!! More often than not, it won't make us buy the model that wins. I find the info interesting though.
