I'm currently running HPR 20W-60 Penrite in my 2H Diesel. I've run this oil for the whole 65,000km in the engines life so far. Great oil to!! No oil use, and it cut my oil use by half in my old motor to.

Just wanted to know if there is any advantages in running HPR 15W-40 Semi Synthetic oil instead. On the product info sheet, it said that the HPR Diesel 20W-60 is good for older style diesels operating in extreme conditions.

The HPR Diesel 15 is semi-synthetic and designed for newer diesels. Is it still worth running, or just stick with the old 20W-60 oil that I've been using??

if its not using oil, or leaking it out, i'd stick with the same one.

The two posts above are spot on.

If you have an oil that is giving good results and you have been useing it fo ra long time in the same car done change as you may find the engine wont like it.

the synthetic is way too thin for the ole 2h

use Penrite HPR diesel OR SIN diesel

Yeah, i'll stick with what works best. If it's good enough for Roothy, then it's good enough for me!!
