I don't mind daylighty saving's, I wish we had it in Qld, at least it gives you time to do things at home etc after knock off time before it gets dark.
Qld might adopt it in 25 years when they catch up with the rest of Austalia ::) most people are still living in the Joh era.....

But u can still do that, just by starting everything earlier. It just puts a false sense in our heads that we are getting more daylight or something. If everything just started earlier, there would be no need to change it round

yeah they should just leave it the way it is now, light in the evening and dark in the morning

I like the idea of daylight savings but it would be good if the whole country was on the same page instead of having 15000 different bloody time zones :-\

The polly's gave it a test run up here about 13 years ago. I remember it was great but all the cockies anfd farmers kicked up the shits cause it confused the cows and faded the curtains was their excuse. since when does a cow look at the clock and think it's time to be milked.

Nice to be home but off again in two weeks time for a month.

Mixed feelings really. Loved the country but worked really, really long hours. The family liked many things, the wildlife and having "pet" frilly's in the backyard, 4 wheeling into truely beautiful landscapes (especially with the privledged access I had to some restricted sites) but the social problems up there, the poor infrastructure and isolation from the rest of the world was both a blessing and curse.
Summary, nice place to visit, if the NT was overseas we would pay squillions to go see it, it's a shame many aussies don't bother because it's here in Australia and therefore undervalued. But don't want to live there again, that's true enough...

Qld lost the opportunity for Daylight Savings under the Joh era. Story was that he believed the sun shone out of his a@#$e, and he refused to stay up an hour longer for anyone !

Thanks to Joh and now Peter.

and that wouldn't be annoying
How is daylight savings annoying?
It stops it being light at 5.o0am it gives you extra light to do things after work.

The sun dosnt know time. We just put a number on the point when the sun shines on us. ( i really dont know to explain lol) If that time was one hour b4 wateva it is now, you wouldnt know any different. (if this happened ages ago)
Im going to shut up now, coz i have no idea wat im talking bout :-[.
