View Full Version : 2 Brutal - update?
Well mate?? Hows it going?
Is it going as well, or not as well as you hoped in the new shop? Is there anything you'd have done different, as in operations?

i'm sure he's doing well :) it's an industry that is bound to grow more.... especially where he is situated.
if he gives good service and returns his customers calls he'll do well, i cant get good service anywhere down here

some body mention my name ;D.
how do you spell f'n busy without gettin in trouble.
sold all my stock in the first 2 hours so closed up for a week and gone fishing.
na I wish, it's been good thanks Serena, a few very late fitting nights and busy weekends, I even managed a bit of time off yesterday to go and play in the mud.
have had a very positive response from the locals and surrounding areas so all will be good.
I think about the only thing I would have done differently is had a bigger shop to start with. 100m2 of show room isn't quite big enough. but then i couldn't find anything bigger at the present time. ;)

Good onya mate, glad it's going well! Important too, that you make time to go out and have a play. So easy when you are self employed to fall into the 18hr day trap.
Good that you have the support of the locals too, ya have ta keep them on side.
Is the missus working in the shop too? What are your opening hours?
If all you'd change is the size of the shop, I reckon you're doing great! You can always expand down the track hey. Do you think you might go online eventually?

That all sounds great,
I was toying with the idea of doing something similar in my area but have put it on the backest of back burners for the time being. I was looking into a Global franchise but think that that is one of those "F" words that should be used sparingly.
Anyway well done ;)

Tony's Outback Adventure's store
It could also be called Tony's Tools and Toys :o
This store would stay open 24/7 and sell alternative tools and toys after normal trading hours :P
