was good to see murph kick ass....... see Ambrose?? "if the race was half a dozen laps longer....." what a wank!! Murph had it all over him....... only thing if the race went another 6 laps is Murph would have been further in front.

pretty big stack at the end, just saw it on the news, i had to turn it off cos mum's getting crappy and wants me to do school work :( anyway taped the last 6 or 7 laps, ill hafta watch it sometime.

they were saying each concrete barrier weighs 4.5T and they are all joined together, you would have crapped yourself if you were on the other side of the fence with that crash, and what about the Indy driver who lost his front spoiler at 200km/h, man that would have hurt, he's dam lucky those tyres were there.

did you hear the stats for an INDY motor.
2.65L Cosworth V8 pumping out 750 HP.
I think there's something wrong with my Nissan 6 as it's a 2.8 and only got about 20hp. might get it tuned up today and try and find the other missing 730 hp.

Drivers in verbal tailgate

GREG MURPHY yesterday climbed to within striking distance of the V8 Supercar championship then waded into the "tailgating" argument between his teammate Rick Kelly and the championship leader Marcos Ambrose.

The public row overshadowed another dramatic race yesterday around the unforgiving streets of Surfers Paradise which left the championship chances of three contenders - Rick Kelly, Steven Richards and Russell Ingall in tatters.

Even though Ambrose has not secured the title, he has it firmly in his grip and only disaster in the final two rounds can deny him the crown.

The slanging match between Kelly and Ambrose began after the first race on Saturday evening and spilled over yesterday after Murphy won the Indy carnival round by winning the second race. Ambrose had complained Kelly, who had been lapped, tailgated him for the last few laps of the first race and refused to pass him when he had the opportunity.

But Kelly, who argued that he was legitimately pressuring Ambrose, was outraged when Ambrose slowed abruptly across the finishing line and there were harsh words between the drivers as they climbed from their cars.

After initially denying he had slowed, Ambrose admitted yesterday that he braked after the finishing line but "totally refuted" claims that he had "brake tested" Kelly or threatened him once they climbed out of their cars.

"I believe he was out of line and I told him so," Ambrose said.

Ambrose tried to play down the incident yesterday but Murphy waded into him later pointing out the inconsistencies in his story.

"Is Rick not allowed to follow you around? This is motor racing," Murphy said.

Murphy later elaborated, again giving Ambrose a character reading about his behaviour.

"He's trying to pretend he's goody-two-shoes, well, he's not," Murphy said. "I think he expects that we should all pull over and let him win the championship.

"It's about time he realised we are not all here just to drive around behind him."

Ambrose was later fined $10,000 by the stewards for breaching the drivers' code of conduct.

And Jason Bright, who was closest to Ambrose, also lost ground and ended up in hospital after a spectacular crash. At least Steven Richards had no one else to blame. Ingall was turned around by Kelly on Saturday and Kelly pushed Bright into the wall yesterday. Kelly was penalised.

Kelly needs to wake up to himself,his actions on sunday,thee taps that i counted are very poor sportsmanship.
He is very much a boy in a mans world. >:(

from what i've heard you need all the power you can get to.
