Two rocks is Ok as long as you go up past the crows nest, otherwise the beach is too narrow. If you want some beach fishing you can try White Hills for an easy one.
Moore River has been a bit of a wash out lately wish the beach to narrow to drive.
Give hill River a go...

Do yourself a favour and get down to your local newsagent and buy a copy of "4WD Days Out Of Perth".
Better still, buy a copy of "4WD Weekends Out Of Perth" while you're there! ;)
Betterer still, after you've bought the above books, subscribe to "Western 4WDriver" :D

I personally live further south of Perth.
The collie hills area has always been a good day trip, forrestery trails, mud, clear rivers and streams.
Not to far from perth either, or to make it interesting get off road just north of Harvey and pick your way through to bush till you come across collie. I have yet to see the changes to the harvey dam area but it also used to have a lot of good tracks, started up there with my old 1971 XA fairmont, damm that thing used to like the bush. buried it a few times too. took two 4wd's to get it out one time, a spring had run under a track and leaf cover hid it from veiw, so it was a mud pit from hell. Opened the doors and the mud just washed inside, lots of fun but ;D

Is Western 4WDriver still going? Have you seen a recent copy?

I'm also a regular buyer of Western 4wder mag. Good for local scene issues but only 3 monthly. :(
