Gear Change and 4WD indicator lights on instr. panel not working - does anyone know what the problem is? Thanks in advance.

Hello BLU-125, No I haven't checked them. I figured because the only lamps not working had something to do with the gears that chances are it might be a sensor/sender somewhere at the gearbox.
I will now do the logical thing then and start at the lamps... Stay tuned.

What do you mean by, "Gear Change and 4WD indicator lights"? Do you mean the 4WD & Low Range lights? If so, the switch is on the transfer case near the selector rod.

"Gear Change" is the Arrow on the panel that lights up to change up gears. The "4WD' lamp is the one that lights up when 4WD is engaged.
I checked these two lamps and they were missing! Inserted new ones and they still didn't light up.
The Gearbox case had some sort of Sensor connected to it and am now assuming that this is faulty? There's also two unconnected plugs - one is a Cannon type which is capped off and the other was a 2 pin Rectangular type. Any ideas what these two a for?
