Slop in yoke shaft

Hi all
Does anybody know how much free play is too much in the yoke that slides into the tailshaft on a 95 jackaroo auto?I can wiggle several mm up and down.There is also a clunk that i get when braking and moving off from standoff that goes away when i grease the shaft.Been waiting 8 weeks now for a new grease seal from holden???

With that amount of play a seal isn't going to help you, the slip joint should have very little play certainally not mm. I would be looking for a second hand shaft as slip joints are expensive to replace and not really worth the hassle.

Thanks for the advice.Will start looking for a complete shaft then.
