Has anyone fitted diff beather tubes to there Ranger? I was surprised to see that there are no tubes fitted standard as there were in my MK Triton, well there was on the back anyway i just assumed there would be on the front as well.
The diff breather on the rear diff is plain to see so i imagine removing it and replacing it with one suitable for tubes will be easy, but i haven't been able to locate the front diff breather? I haven't removed all the protection plates yet so maybe i just can't see it, but i'd be keen to hearfrom anyone who has some experiance with this.

This I can help you out with the breather on the front diff is on the left hand side at the front high side of the diff.
I you stick you head under your gaurd in front of you righthand side tyre and look down the draglink on the rear side you will see the breather about 1/2" long

Sounds the same as my Explorer (Dana 35 front), if this is so its a bloody mongrel to get to, lotsa scraped fingers  & bad language. I ran a breather right up to the top of the firewall & put an el-cheapo ($2) fuel filter with 90 degree elbow at the top.:D

Thanks guys, i'll check it out!! Dont like diping the diffs without those breather tubes.
Did you need to fit new diff breathers to be able to fit tubes?

I made up new a fitting for the diff housing on the lathe i discarded the original breather as i dont like just taking the cap off as you never get enough purchase for a clamp so you will have to look at that on when you pull it out

Pa Kettle, Did you take any pic's of the new fitting you made to fit the diff housing. I can't find anyone with a fitting with the same thread as the standed one.

Ranger 08,
how do you find your ARB Roof top?
I find the roof top great, used it in heavy rain and wind and had no problems.
The only problem i am having is the top of the tub is spreadind from the canopy and roof bars which ARB is working on to fix. They say there is not alot of surport in the side of the tub and are working on making new suport bars that run to the floor.

Hi Guys,
sorry to drag up an old thread but what is the thread type/size on the diff breathers?
It's hard for me to jump down to the store and match threads against some nuts to sort it out!
Thanks,
Lawrie
