Throttle Linkage on 80s Cruiser

Hi people, been looking at my throttle linkage, and noticed that it seems to have a second area for a cable.. Because ive only just noticed this now , im concerned, and interested to know what should be there.. pics supplied..

Put a pedal on the passengers side for when they want to go faster!

You'll probably find it's for cruise control that's not fitted to your model.
