Recently After Fitting My Turbo On My Hilux {out Of A Surf}
I Fitted A Boost Controller ,so Later On I Can Control :psi:
But Thinking It Was Set At A Minimal Setting & Without A Boost Gauge At The Time,i Didnt Know Excactly What It Was Running At....
Today I Quickly Fitted Up The Gauge.....and Realised It's Up Too Too High,stationary Just Revving The Engine Got To About 10psi Maybee 12psi.........i Took It For A Good Run It Was Over 15psi.......
No Wonder She Was Moving And Whistling Her Ass Off!
Lucky I'v Done Less Than 500km's From Boost Controller Was Fitted
Lucky I Still Have A Bottom End......
Who Said 2.8's Dont Like It Cranked?

Wow. That's cool! Just leave it up that high and see how it goes. You can always turn it down quickly if things don't seem right. What sort of economy do you think you might've been getting around that boost?

i heard something like 1degree cooler you gain 5hp?
im generally getting up hills at about 100kph. depends on the hill tho some i drop back to 80kph. oh and mick my dyno readout is up on tha intercooler thread.
ill be putting a turbo on mine for sure, so keep the replies going on this so i can keep finding info :)

nate depends alot on what tyres and gearing your running to. but ya gotta remeber they arnt a race car. but its a damm sight better then what they are wihout one! i dont regret it at all
yeah thats why im sticking with a diesel for the lux and v8 for my commodores. To start with ill wait till my 31's are dead then only 33's mabe 35's done the track but good chance just the 33's

It Is Heaps Better Doing The Same Hills Before I Was In 3rd Doing 60-70 Kph With 31"a/t's..........so Doing 80-85kph With 33"s Isnt Too Bad ...
Does Anybody With A 2.8 .....power Up A Hill?
I Think Intercooler,exhaust,boosted Injector Pump.......still The Same Shit ,your Not Ganna Be Over The Moon With Performance Are Ya?
If She Holds 100kph ,loaded With Camping Gear ,33m/t And My Fat Arse It Will Do...
