Hi,
was just wondering if there was anyone that knows whether 15x10 sunrasysias for a 33x12.5 tyre will fit my hilux. I have a mate with a 91 hilux (with front leaf) and he had to grind the ventilation grooves on the front brake calipers about 10mm to get the rims to fit (stupid i know). I have rung many tyre dealers and some say that the 10 inch rims will fit where others say they wont. Iam not to sure if there are different depth in offsets in these rims and if there is where can i get them.
hey mate
ive got a 96 dual cab lux ive only got a 2inch susp lift for now i went to put 33's on but t-marts said i can only put on 31x10.5" thats with 16x9" sunraysias if u want to go wider just put som wheels spacers on and then u can put watever size ya want but they will cost ya more than ya think
cheers
PALI.

yeh i put a 3 inch suspension lift on mine and iam running 31x10.5 also but on 15x7 rims and im sure it would handle the height of the 33's. I thought about wheel spacers but being new to the fourbie scene iam not too sure whats involved with that iam gonna have to look into it. also been thinking i should just go down to 32x11.5 and save the trouble and some money, gotta get them asap but my 2 rear tyres and both spares are nearly on canvas cant help but get carried away sometimes haha
hahaha um
yer just go down to a tyre shop an ask em if u can test fit 33's and if they fit than ya laughin and if it doesnt then u really need to read into spaces its the full lock thats stuff me up so im gunna get a 4" lift and put 35's and spacers somtime this year
cheers

Goldie243. I ran 32"x 11.5 for a while no dramas. I had a 2" lift at the time, have since fitted extended shackles. I only noticed the tyres scrub once slightly, on full lock with a bit of flex in suspension, didnt do it on flat ground. Maybe u could cut a bit of the inner guard out to fit 12.5"? As for wheel spacers, aren't they illegal for road use? But thats up to u.

yeh i just read into the spacers and they are illegal, iam thinking of getting the spacers and a set of 33's and keeping my old 31's just for higway/road use.
thanks for you help

hey goldie, you have to watch out for spacers as they have a tendency to crack.
