i have recently bought a 2.8D hilux and i am wanting to get more power out of the motor i already have extractors which came with the car and i am going to put a snorkle on in the new yr. I had some one tell me yesty that if i put lpg on to my car it will increase performance by 30% has any one here tried it on a diesel motor or is also looking to put lpg on to there car.

there is heaps on info on this in the net.
My mate did this to his hilux and ended up getting it taken off and his money back and got a turbo instead. The results just weren't there on the 2.8D. Apparently if you do the LPG on a turbo'd 2.8 u get the benefit then.
Yeah turbo and lpg is the go. But at the end of the day its a bucket load of money to spend on a shit box 2.8.
approx $2500 for a turbo
then another $2000ish for the LPG
So thats $4500 for something that you still wouldn't be happy with.
I did all the work on my lexus conversion myself and it cost me $5000 and I sold my turbo for 1600 and my 2.8 for 2100. Cost etc would be the same for a v6 conversion.
