What are the 3.0 litre diesel engines fitted to post 2000 Prado's like for reliability, are there any issues with them ?
What are Prado's like in general ?

My father inlaw has one, tows a huge caravan around the country and had no problems with it. Also i love it but he wont swap the bj42 for it dont figure LOL

i think the early 3ltrs had issues with cracking heads every now and then... maybe take a look on the yahoo prado sites

i have a 96 model turbo import with @ 225 000km on the clock, a 3inch lift and 265/75 mtz muddies and have had no probs in the year i have had it. it goes really well and has plenty of power up hills

Dads 3.0TD prado (2000 model) hasnt got a single problem with the engine... but the rest of the drivelines crapped itself.
New Gearbox, Transfer case, Front diff, Steering Rack....
