Just lately my Rodeo (1997 2.8 litre turbo diesel) has been getting gradually sluggish and worsening fuel economy and was just looking through my workshop manual and it seems to sugest that there is a fuel filter in the water separator as well as the one in the engine bay.

Is there a filter as part of the water separator?

What is the ryco part number for the replacement one or is it only available at holden (ryco catalogue only lists the one fuel filter)?

Cheers,
Neil

i had a 94 model & the separator did not have a filter in it.

they are also not serviceable, as i found out the hard way, you cannot undo the big nut around the top of the cylinder... it just shatters on you.

i bought a $40 filter haed & ran separator/ filters after that

not the best pic but you can see the filter head

check the tank breather isnt blocked.

how clean is your airfilter?
