Hi,

Last night my GQ was burnt out at Morisset round about. If anyone witnessed anything around midnight call me on 0414487703. Police found it burning by 12:38am this morning.

It rips your heart out, seeing what destruction someone can do to your pride and joy.:mad:

We were the ones that had the Landcruiser Troopie stolen from Bundoora so we know exactly how you are feeling.

I hope that you have insurance to cover it all!!! some people are just absolute mongrels it is the worst feeling to have this done and we still to this day have no idea where something as big as Dads troopie could be right now.

Any consolation we own a radiator workshop when all is good again get a new vehicle or whatever let us know and we will be only to happy to help out in radiator, air con, heating etc dept. I know thats a long shot but a little help makes the world go around.

Thanks guys - I was very close to tears when I saw it.

I am insured, so I'm hoping to come out OK but it doesn't replace the time and effort spent on the truck. Not to mention to hassle of replacing everything now and the time taken to do that! The photos have gone off to the assessors and it is off to auction already I believe.

you think your gutted timmis you didnt build it from the ground up and poor you heart and sould into that truck for nearly 2 yrs. When i found those pics my heart sank she was my pride and joy the centre of my life for such a long time. I have so many memorys with that truck.

Hi,

Full credit to Dan for building the truck - he would have put in far more time and effort than I did. I really did appreciate the car that I bought. The feelings are still the same though - after having so much enjoyment with it in the few months that I did have it.

yeah when i saw the pics if felt like an old friend had died. im glad you got as much enjoyment out of her even if only for the short time you owned her. she really was a fantastic truck. I just wish you had more time with it.

Hi,

It was parked at the roundabout around 5pm. I was picking it up the next day. Can't be certain but the stereo, sub box and hand held UHF radio don't appear to have been in the car and can't see the burnt remains. They had gone through the car first before setting fire to it because the extinguisher, wheel brace and winch controller were found on the ground.

Still working through with insurance but it's now the Christmas/New Year break!! So probably not much will happen till the 7th January now. It's a matter now of determining what were accesories and what were modifications because that determines whether the insurance will pay out.

Still can't believe that it's happened.
