I know that this subject is a little overdone, but I have struggled with minor DW's for the last 20,000ks.

Like most TJ owners I have done several stages of suspension mods to my Jeep, and when I put 4" springs in about 60,000ks ago, rather than buy an aftermarket front track bar, I had the local engineering shop reshape and lengthen the OE one to suit the lift.

At the Logan Challenge I broke the front ARB, badly bent the drag link, crushed the steering damper & tore it's mount off the axle. I have just finished rebuilding the 30 with ARB refreshed, new ball joints, second hand drag link, TbT tie rod, new damper, checked the shocks, fitted fresh springs, checked tie rod ends,.......,everything seemed fine, went for a drive...........huge DW........aaaargh!

Rechecked castor (5 & 6 degrees), eighth of toe in, look at JU..........

Every DW thread says check track bar mount on chassis is tight......of course its tight. How can a castellated nut with a split pin come loose?

It took up 1 and a half turns......no DW.

So how does it come loose?

BTW, I rang Wooders and ordered a new adjustable bar.......another wad of dollars before Christmas. ;)
