The 4WDing area is off to the side a bit so you dont need to go through the nudie bit. There are some really good obsticals that will test stockies out, especially the crossed up hills and the stairway.
hey slunnie do you know if you can go out there for a drive, chech the place out a bit ::) ?

Don't ya hate it when that happens
I had something similar last weekend on the Spanish Steps, I made it over the big step & thought to myself, hey we did that pretty easy, so I eased off & thought I would just walk the vehicle up from there.
Only problem was there was a small lip on a ledge I didn't see & as I had lost momentum, did not make it over.
Took an extra 3 goes to get my wheel placement right, when if I had stayed on the throttle in the first place, we would have bounced over it nice & easy.

I'll have to take you down the steps one day.
There is a log at the bottom in the creek, that if you don't slow for, will give you a nasty surprise.
Yeah, slunnie wants to take me down there, i'd love to do it some time
You've got PM :)

Not far from the Zig Zag near Lithgow.
I can send GPS coordinates, but I do not recommend going alone.
There is no way i'd be going down by myself after looking at some of those steps ;)

They should be OK now ;)
Yeah, they are ok now :)
That doesn't look as hard as that ledge the defender is coming down, is it a different track? or just a difernt part of the track.

2 years of erosion & a much easier line.
The defender & my cruiser are both coming down the left side of the track (looking up the hill) whereas the suzuki zig zagged across from the far right to find the easiest line as clearance (& experience of the driver) was an issue.
Can't wait to give it a go ;D

The continuing track from the Spanish steps is a bit of fun also. There are some good mud holes that will have lower 4WD's sitting on their belly, a tree through the middle of a creek crossing, another rock climb similar to the spanish steps then an easy rocky trail. With that spring over MY45, you will laugh at it!

When we were there a few weeks ago, I can say that if you are not lifted & want to cross those logs in the creek, you will hit.
There are 2 90 series Prado owners in need of repairs to side steps after our last trip there.
