oily air filllter

i have a friend with a landcruiser 100 series 99 model who has just put a 1HDT 80 series turbo diesel motor in it and the air fillter is oiling up lots between services. just wanting to know if u need to put a 100 series or 80 series turbo diesel air fillter box or is it something more serious.

Probably has something to do with the oil breather system or the oil line to the turbo. I'd be getting it checked out.

I wanna know how he is getting it by the RTA. The 80 series motor into the hungy is illegal. The 80 series motor is older then the 100.
