Hi, I have a 4WD Dual Cab with dual battery system. When you put in the second battery holder you have to be careful as some part of the airconditioner sensor is in the way. Mine got pinched and it cost about $160 to locate the fault at the Ford dealer. It was refunded by the installer. I had a gel battery installed. I'll take some photos tomorrow.

Hi, The battery tray I got through TJM as part of a dual battery system. I think it was about !50 dollars for the tray, it wasn't cheap but it was the first one they did for a Ranger and the battery is a deep cycle Gel , the markings on it are VRLA Deep Cycle, N50GEL.I think it was about 300 for the battery. In the instructions I remember when they were putting it in that it said it had to be a gel battery as there were electical components that could be damaged if a convential battery leaked.

It looks to be a tight fit next to the air cleaner and radiator. Does it make serviceing difficult. I'll be looking at installing a dual battery on my new BT50.
Are the gel batteries better than normal bateries?

Hi, When I got it back after the 20,000 service I noticed that the battery was loose. They changed the air filter and it's definately not as easy to do with the battery there. The TJM system works well and I have the monitor in the cabin.

Hi

We actually moved the main battery over to the opposite side (incl the wiring) and then put the 2nd battery where the original was. It allows for a bigger battery.

Scotty, how did you fit the original battery on the other side?
