Gday
I own an 01 2.5TD courier and am having trouble deciding how to make it sound better, i have had plenty of quotes about changing the muffler to a hiflow/sports with larger tail pipe?
I dont want a whole new system as i am happy with the power output and i am still a student but any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks

well i had a complete 2.5" with hiflow muffler system installed on my 2.5na diesel when i had the turbo system fitted to it.
apparently its still within legal limits for noise (according to the mechanic who installed the system).
i like the sound of it ... not loud but you know its there
i honestly cant say weather it made a noticeable performance difference as it was install along with the turbo system and not individually dyno'd.
cost $450 for the exhaust 'fitted'.... im sure there are others around who could work a better deal, but i believe it was a good price.
i know your not looking for a complete system, but i didn't see any replies so i thought i'd let ya know what i had done :)

i have a redback 2.5 inch straight through muffler fitted to my 96 bravo and it sounds like it has balls, plus it also gave me more lugging power down in low revs + a lot more torque. i'm not sure of the price but it was under $300.

Just got the Exhaust done on my Courier, 2.5'' from the turbo back a straight though muffler and 3'' out the back has a little note and sounds great and pulls alot better down low.
Cheers Tim.
