Hi Lads,
I'm looking at 1986 Troop Carrier 4.0l pertol/Gas. Is there anyone you can help me out with what to look for and if there are any problems or parts that i should pay attention too.

Probly has a 3f engine in it. The general consesus on these engines is that they go forever but use heaps of petrol. Unless the veihcles in really good condition and cheap you may be better searching for a diesel one, then again it is on gas so it might be cheap enough too run.

Rust is the big enemy. Generally if they feel ok they are ok.
Listen to the gearbox diff etc.Feel the brakes.Inspect the front swivel joints for greasy black stuff oozing out.(they should be clean).
Engine parts are cheap and plentiful.
Unless its an immaculate 75 with minimal owners,they usually need some TLC to get them running right ,so allow for it in the price;)
