My HZJ105 has just decided to light up it's dash warning lights as I drive along. All of them, timing belt, air filter, the lot. I replaced the alernator the other day and figure there has to be a connection.
It appears to be RPM related as the brightness of all the lights will vary somewhat. It also flickers, making me thing something somewhere has a bad connection.
Has anyone seen this before? Is this a known fault?
FYI: There is no engine computer to query on this model.
Thanx

Its either a bad earth(check the lead to the engine or on the battery terminal)or the belt is loose or you got a dud alternator.
Check the plug at the rear of the alternator to make sure its pressed together properly.

I've actually had a similar problem with my 97 lux, 3 lights come on, from memory they were batt/alt, oil, can't remember 3rd. All flickered at the same time, generally I found once it had warmed up a bit. Assume it was related to some bad wiring, but wouldn't know where to start looking.
Hasn't done it since I recently did the standard service, not sure if that's a coincidence or not...

On mine I had the alternator sense wire actually wear through, where the wires come out of the 3 pin plug then travel around the corner of the rear alternator housing.
Never figured out how it never blew the little 7.5A fuse...
