View Full Version : Fj45 Spring Over ??
G'day
I've got a 83 Fj45. I'm looking at doing a spring over rear (front's to hard) and was wondering what i'll need to do. I know that i'll need new spring hangers and longer brake lines. I've disconected the sway bar and dont need extensions.
Lots of help may be necessary :-\ :-[ ???
Cheers

I'm a coil spring lad myself - but since there's little response -I'll throw my 2¢ onto the screen.....Mostly via brain dump of thoughts.
Snap ubolts undoing them, Cut perches off, Weld new perches onto top of axle, use new ubolts to attach axle.
Replace brake lines...check the propeller shaft length (with about 6" lift it will probably be too short now)....
Hmmmthat's about all that comes to mind.....But I've never done one so I have NFI sorry mate....
I cant wait to see it slunnie. The fj's sounding better after i fixed the #2 cyclinder and removed the exaust ;D ;D ;D
