Hi Guys,
i figure as my budget is being stretched out a little i should ask more questions!
OK. now then, i would like your opinions on the E-Savage vs. the E-Maxx, they are both in the same market and i dont know which one to by, or which brand is better?? i konw that HPI (Savage) were like the people that started the RC world, but then people say that Traxxaz (Maxx) is better because you can get them at more places in Oz??
AHHHH... no idea which one! both 600 bucksish..

Which one . . . . both about the same really, pretty much like the old Patrol vs Landcruiser argument.
The deciding factor would be spare parts if it were me. Ask the shop which distubutor has proven to be most reliable with supplying parts. I've waited 6 weeks for some parts which is a PITA.
In all honesty, as the owner of about 30 something cars I would never buy another brand new car. Goto Australian Racing - R/C Tech Forums (http://www.rctech.net/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=29) and put up a wanted to buy E Savage or E Maxx in excellent condition and you will have someone with one that's already had some expensive mods done and you'll pay quite a lot less than what it cost new. If there's one thing in this world that holds it's value worse than a Land Rover it's RC cars. And there's lots of guys out there than but multiple models and then 6 months later sell them off with very little use.

After Driving both the E-savage and the E-maxx.. I liked the E-savage more..
The E-max has a Gearbox allowing you to change ratio's on the fly via the 3rd Channel on the controller, although the one we test drove broke the Shock towers after about 3 or 4 Heavy landings.
The E-savage... all I can say is WOW.
It was a little less prone to rolling over and took several jumps without an issue, then the gearing started to show signs of wear after about 4 Hours...
I have been told that the motors on the E-savage and the E-maxx wear quickly but this is just a good excuse to upgrade them anyway..
As Ian has said, it is like the Patrol VS Cruiser arguement.
One likes one more then the other but in the end, it comes down to personal choice..
If you can attend an Offroad RC meet in your area, pop down, have a look at both then decide which one you like for yourself..
