what oil in disco td5

hi all whats the best oil to run in my td5 disco i know its a bit of a personal prefarance im using mobil1 synthetic 5w50 but ive noticed they have changed the spec on this oil all comments would be appreciated

You should still be able to get Mobil1 5-50. Thats what I'm using also.

castrol slx 5-40 i think. Thats what we supply at landrover

I am not sure if you can get Castrol Softec TXT 5W-30 anymore, but this product used to be orderable via directly calling Castrol Australia. The smallest container you can buy is a 20 litre oil drum.

It is very good for the TD5 - even says so on their product description datasheet.

Penrite HPR Diesel 5. 5W50 top australian product. roothy uses it too.
penrite website has recommendations for what oil goes where if you get stuck.

I use this also Penrite 5, but i use the 5W/40 Semi-synthetic:)
