235/85/16 scrub. around 2" BL or 2" bumpstop should do it.

didn't really want to do the body lift. spring change seems an easier option. disco's condition is to good to trim guards. can't be returned to original without alot of mucking about. might go as big as possible without rubbing panels

You should get away with 235/85/16's (32") without having to cut into the guards. Depending on what kind of spring lift you have you may get away with just rolling the inner edge of the guards for clearance. On my Rangie the 32's scrubbed with standard height springs, but after a 2" spring lift and above modifications they no longer scrubbed. I haven't upgraded to 32's yet in the D1, but would assume that it would be similar.

Its not possible to fit larger than 30in tyres with a 2in lift without trimming the guards. I began with 31's and had to trim the lower guards behind the wheels at the back, no trimming at the front was needed. I now run 235/85/16's and had to trim the front in the same place, you need to cut the plastic sill protector back about 75mm then run a curved line upwards to make the wheel arch look standard. If you do that you should be right with 33's aswell, my advice is to get them, fit them and then trim to fit, just be careful any real flex work will bend your guards if the tyres catch. matt

Hi
I have lifted my 95 model 3 inch and 2 inch body and now run 35's with the 3 inch lifted coils I had to trim the guards with 265/75/16 so you will need to cut them for 33's. If you go onto the link at the bottom of my thread for my shed address you will see some pics of my rig with all the work done. If you want any advice just PM me

How much extended bumpstop you got grover1968?... if you don't extend your bumpstops you will still rub almost the same as you did with no lift (except that the angle at which the tire goes into the guard will be different)

If you take a look at the pics on MY shed link down the bottom. I have extended the travel as well. I don't get any rubbing with the 35's and in those pics I don't get a wheel of the ground. I need to find a bigger ramp somewhere. I set it up the same way Les richmonds kit does it. You can go onto there web site and check out all the specs.

g'day, currently running 235/75 16 dunlop MT2 on my 95 Disco. When i first put them 18 months ago- 35000ks ago the scrubbed lower rear portion of the guard, only at extreme articulation. Rarely at all now with a bit of wear. Early next year the Disco is up guard trim and some other body mods.

How do you find the MT2's Boxhead, i was going to get them but was told they handled appaulingly on wet tar to i went with Hankooks which happened to be cheaper anyway, just curious as this might be an option when the hankooks are worn out. Matt
