Anyone successfully downloaded one yet? Been trying to DL the Hilux manual for a few hours but keep getting a "too many peers connected, try again later" error.

Looks like the site is being hammered. FTP sites usually limit the number of simultaneous anonymous users. Better grab them before the site's owner gets a large bill from their hosting provider for the stupendous amount of traffic this must be genrating.

I got a few, it's all about getting in there and a download started while there's a free space in the queue. It was OK this morning (still limited to one connection at a time) and got progressively worse as people found this thread.

I wouldn't worry about them disappearing overnight. :) They should be there for a good while yet. :D

That's why the recommendation is there to use a browser that actually works correctly. :D The smaller files are downloaded directly from there, whilst the larger files are downloaded from the ftp server. That's where IE tends to have problems. It can manage http as a rule, but has a bad tendency to cock things up where ftp is concerned. That portal serves the purpose of being the frontend for the files. It's a lot more descriptive than just looking at file names, (although I have tried to make the filenames as explanatory as possible), on the ftp site.

There is a torrent system on the site now too, so it should be somewhat easier for downloading things now. :)
p.s: Yup, I know this thread is yonks old. :D
