Need help, how can you fit a dual batery system under the bonnet of a 04 Turbo diesel hilux?? (without spending $1,200 at your local ARB) Thanks

I don't have an 04 TD but was faced with a similar dilemma with my 02 petty. Various quotes to do the job ranging from $700-1200. Your best bets going to be to go to TJM or ARB and buy the battery trey off them that they would use and fit it up yourself. Should be $100-$150. Then choose your solenoid/isolator, theres got to be 50 threads on here about dual battery isolators so do a search and decide for yourself which way you want to go. I chose a Redarc smart solenoid which was $100. Buy yourself some chunky cables, cut to length, take it to a sparky who will kindly crimp some ends on for you then your ready to rock.
All up I spent $100 on the isolator, $180 on a 105AH Supercharge, $130 on the battery trey, $30 in heavy duty cable and lugs and $50 to have some wiring changed to relocate the start battery to the aux trey.
So thats about $500. Can see why you'd pay $700 at a shop, theres quote a few hours labor there. Now that I think about it I had to relocate the charcoal and a sensor to the drivers side, that was at least 2 hours of dicking around and $30 in vacuum hose.
Heaps of ways to do it mate, if your prepared to get your hands dirty it shouldnt cost an arm and a leg.
You should probably throw something about dual batterys in your thread title too, might get a few more views/replys and you'll keep the mods happy :D
Good luck
