my new shockies and springs are finally on my front end of my coily chassis. But im not sure if we have it set up right. where the top of the shocky comes through the top of the strut tower . we have put the nut and washer on to hold it in place but not sure if this is correct because even when we push the chassis down and release it the top of the strut tower hits against the nut. I think this will cause major damage.
Any suggestions if we have the set up right or wrong. cheers

Hi mate,
Didn't you get a set of rubber bushes with the struts ? Normally, you should have gotten two washers and two rubber bushes with each. One washer and one bush go beneath the hole in the tower where you bolted the shock, the other bush and washer combo go on top. In other words, if you look at your strut side on, going from the bottom up, it should go
washer/bush/hole in strut tower/bush/washer/nut. Otherwise, the shocks will definitely tear through the shock tower. And that's why the struts stick out so far above the towers. I knew something didn't look right in that photo !
Hope this helps.

ZookNC: You are correct. Although some kits dont come with the rubber bushes.
Smithy: It's ok to re-use the old ones if you still have them so long as they aren't too stuffed, but you do need something in there.
