Ok,I did a bit of a search that turned up bugger all.
So lets hear your best and worst 12H-T mods for power and torque increases are,I'm wanting to extract more grunt out of the olde girl.Especially keen to hear about fuel pump mods, but all mods are very welcome.

fuel screw, timing, boost, exhaust, intercooler, these arnt 12ht depentent!
note: if you havent had alot of experence in diesel tuneing i recomend you have someone there who has. you can do alot of damage from overfueling, to much boost etc.

Turning up the pump won't do much good as it will come out as more smoke. You'd need more air or oxygen for a better burn for more power. And if you get a cleaner burn then you get more heat.
If you want to modify the pump you also need to have the injectors matched to the increase in fuel flow as it wouldn't be atomised properly and won't mix with the air, the result is smoke. That would mean that it goes beyond stoichiometric and all you do is waste fuel.

Supercharge it and get that big strong engine working from the start. Mine was good ,but it was like a 2H until it got breathing;)

Put a better exhaust system on it, bump up boost and alter your fuel to suit the better breathing abilities of the engine, you will be suprised I think at the change.

K&N air filter 3 inch exhaust from dump pipe, 10psi boost, snorkel for more air flow, dyno tuned fuel pump, intercooler if you have the $$$$

Here is what she carries,
12 psi boost (good increase)
snorkel (mild increase)
2 3/4 inch pipe and turbo straight through muff (very good increase)
K&N washable (little increase)
Hyclone fore and arft of turbo (f#@& knows why) waste of money
I'm considering doing the full Berrima Diesel injectors/pump/dyno.
Mind you,she goes ok for a 575k donk.
It's just that now,I am towing the camper trailer with her and my V8 heritage is starting to beckon. Can I get the Horses I need with the 12H-T?
Cheers Andy (we didn't tow on the quarter mile) HE HE HE!

By the list of your mods you have done a good thing to the air side, go to someone with a chassis dyno who knows how to adjust your pump to benefit properly from the changes, fit an egt guage at the same time.

Yeah, still got the olde girl. She's clocked over the 500K mark now and still going strong.I can't decide what to do when she dies.
I have looked into LPG,but by the time you get the rebate back from the circus you have still parted with $2,500 plus the $2K to rebuild the injectors and pump.So if shit turns trumps and the donk dies then I may as well spend the $12K on a V8 T/D Chev or part her out and buy a 100 series! It's all about where best to spend the hard earnt coins, hey.Still no word on a local dyno either.
Thanks for the link

The 12HTs have held their value ridiculously well. I was planning to swap my 2H for one some day, but the price difference makes an 80 a more attractive proposition.

Im interested to see some more mods too. I just got my troopie back from Hume off road in Canberra with a 12HT. It goes a lot better than the 2H, but its still lacking a bit. Did anyone get much better fuel economy from exhaust and intake? I seem to be using a bit too much fuel.

my 60 is running factory 12ht. i had MTQ set everything for me. she's got 130Hp at the wheels and a tractor load of torque. she's running 12-13 psi. 3" dump pipe straight in to 3.5" straight through with a hot dog just to muffle it, but it roars. has no problems holding 100 km up the toowoomba range. in the wet as she comes on boost i have to watch tyre spin but short shifting solves that. i get approx 950-1000Km out of 90L factory tank just have to keep an eye on egt as sometimes i have to send her up to 650-700 deg if nailing a long tought 4wd track. yeeeh harrr

84hayes,check this one out,as you can see they are getting dearer by the day.At 335k,she is only run in.This one is a very good example though. You would still need to see it and have a look inside the rocker cover at least.I have bought parts from this bloke before and he only sells good gear.
Hope that helps.
Cheers Andy
