Well previous to my previous thread regarding this problem, it was solved very easily. It is not what my mate Trev would approve as he taught me mechanics the right way!!, but all I did was put on a little steel putty and it has fixed the leak. Beats most of a good day taking the pump off and then replacing it for a 20 cent O ring. :D
Pre 94 toyota diesels had rubber seals through the fuel pump, when we changed to low sulphur diesel aust wide it would chew through the rubber seals. post 94 models came with synthetic seals to handle the low sulphur diesel.
If yours is pre 94 the leak will get worse best to overhaul it now before it falls in a heap and damage your engine then its bigger dollars.
I got mine just in time it cost me $1800 new injectors and pump overhaul fitted, on my old 80 series

Yep I hear what you are saying and it will be on soon, The seal that is leaking is the O ring on the right timing cover. If the leak reappears or springs out from other places then I will be looking at a recon pump. Why does the low sulphur fuel fuel affect the rubber??? I thought the sulphur was the lubricant part of the fuel and that adding a diesel treatment would suffice?
I tried all of the diesel treatments on the market and none of them worked, the only thing that worked for a while was Caltex diesel they were the last to change the sulpur level
