Steering play whilst driving

I've noticed lately that there is a bit of play in the steering of my hilux (LN106). About a quarter of a turn while driving on the highway. It has a return to centre on it but I think its had its day. Does this mean I need a new power steering unit, new bushes or just a new RTC.

Someone told me that you can adjust it at the steering box?
But check your bushes while someone wiggles the steering, a mates hilux had heaps of play and we found the bush was pretty much all gone..

Could be worn linkages. Get someone to wobble the steering wheel while you have a look under the car and watch all the linkages for sloppyness/play.
