Got myself some aftermarket 24spline axles and cvs (front and rear) and now I need some 24spline centres (my rangie is ten spline) so I thought its time for lockers. I don't want arbs but it seems it may be my only choice.
Now i am just struggling to find the lockers. If anyones got any arbs (or jack mcnamara) forsale please pipe up now or forever hold your peice.
Cheers

I know of two sets F&R
1) Maxis all round with ARB's, 24spline
2) F&R ARB's F-std axles 24spline, R - custom 9'' centre with Jac Mac Axles
No idea on prices but can find out
Located in Vic sou would need freight.
Pretty sure they won't separate lockers from housing etc.
Dave.

Price may be abit high for me but please do find out. Am more interested in the first lot as I am currently waiting on finalisation of a custom hypoid 4.11 gearset.
Also incase anyone is interested in longfields

I'm chasing a front locker for my D2 which runs 4.11's but have the maxi axles and CV's so would any of the above gear fit my truck?
Aye, Mick

The arbs would work for your truck Mick, and if you have the locking dog splines on your front axles then you can also use a Maxi Drive locker. If you do have the locking dog splines, I would suggest getting a Maxi up front aswell.
I cannot use the maxi drive locker as none of my alxe sets have the splines for the locking dog.
So for me its arb, Jack Mc, or TJM (18months away) :(

Yeah ARB is the other option although I would prefer to have Maxi gear all round for a couple of reasons, depending on priceof course. I have a full set of CWP,s CV's and axles out of my D2 if any of that gear helps you out? It's all factory though hence why I changed it to Maxi.

I think unless you have wods of cash ARB is the only option TJM dont do a air locker
Maxi drives are good but for the cost is it realy worth it my money would be on ARB lockers and maxi drive shafts
I got the lockers just need the shafts

I have just fitted Front and rear lockers (ARB), ashcroft 4.11:1 CW&P sets and maxi axles to my disco, this is an awsome set up, i am thrilled with it.
On thing though- you wont be able to fit the gear into your carriers, the bearing caps in the 10 spline carriers are different to the 24 spline. I found this out the hard way, i blew my rear diff on the easter weekend so went to Newcastle so a mate could help me piece it back together to get me through till i could afford the lockers. The bearings have a different internal diameter for the two which affect the bearing cones size. We stuffed around at the bearing place in Newcastle for an hour trying to find something that fitted but nothing will.
If you find a diff carrier from a 24 spline vehicle it will bolt into your vehicle, the stud holes etc are in the same space so they fit that way, but for some reason the bearing caps are different. Matt

Maxi gear is what i wanted but when Graeme Cooper went to order it all for me and found out that unless you upgrade to county CV's you cant have a maxi drive front. They dont make the axles to suit the standard disco cv's that work with the locker anymore. So you need County CV's etc which adds a grand to the price. If this is what you want then great, but i didnt want to go to that expense. You can however get maxi axles that dont operate the locker (there is a part on the axles that is needed to engage the lockers if you have maxi drive so you cant have a maxi drive locker without the axles) to run with a standard centre, or they work great with the ARB locker which is what i used. I then didnt want to run maxi rear and arb front as i was paying $300 or so for a compressor to lock one diff, so i went maxi axles and ARB lockers, worked out $400 cheaper than the maxi drive set up and i have a compressor to pump up my tyres. I got my ashcroft gear from Rovacraft in WA, they now have an office in sydney aswell, for $1300 delivered. That was for two 4.11:1 CW and P sets.
Maxi drive gear works out at a similar price to the long field stuff
but a mate of mine has just bought longfield gear for his county so he would be the one to ask, here are some details of his build
