hey this is my truck, first car. i have nothin but good things to say about the rocky, it's practicly unstoppable offroad.
she had just under 400,000 k's when we got it, so we have refreshed pretty much everything on it:
engine, suspension, gearbox, brakes, paint and interior.
I'm on the sunny coast so if anyone wants to hit up some of the tracks with us around here, let me know and ill be keen to head out, cheers

1985, 2.8 diesel N/A (at the moment) ahha
she was silver with a grey canopy, but we got her resprayed grey all over, debadged and all the dents and rust fixed.
uhh we fitted, lukey extractors, and 2 1/2 inch sports exhaust, new fuel injection pump and injectors. new leaves, adjustable panhard. refurbished transfer case and gearbox. o and this afternnoon just put in a pair of feroza seats into it, much comfier :) and a little fusion sound system.
its still got the stock rims and poor offroad tyres  haha but hopefully their next to go. gettn tint done and icom radio:)
umm thts pretty much everythin i can think of off the top of my head. ill get bak to u if i think of anything else.
how does ur truck go offroad and is there anything you have found to make it go harder??
cheers mate

ill say, haha today was the first time it needed to be pulled out of trouble and that was because of a mazda that tried before me and dug out a huge hole haha
i think they have the best approach/ departure angle of most cars, this helps heaps when in and around rocks and ruts. :)
cheers mate

Nice truck mate, I've always thought a rocky would be my next 4x4 if I ever get sick of the smaller zook. But unstoppable? Your just not trying hard enough :D

yer my feroza goes good as, she goes pretty fast with the 1.6 EFI petrol
but the very bad down side is that it has Independent front suspension at the front but leafs at the reaf. With the IFS though it gets NO wheel travel or flex.. But after takin out the anti-sway bar it gets abit.
Hows the rocky go for wheel travel on the front? its got leafs alround aye

Good to see there's a few daihatsu rocky/feroza owners around. I'm still reassembling my F75 TD.

haha yer i think so to, i've only been able to get around to the local tracks in the forestry and stuff, but we are going to take the rocky and dad's 60 series out to landcruiser park to try them out on the tough stuff. dad's will go alright with it's lockers, tyres, lift and whinch. i'll have to stick to the easier tracks for now:( haha
cheers mate hope your zooks going hard

Rockys are great little buses, I only got rid of mine because the family got to big. I had an 84 swb diesel with TJM srpings and shocks with a 2"lift and 15x7 ROH outlaw alloys running 31"tyres as well as custom front bullbar. I now have an 89 pajero which is more comfortable for the family but I still miss the old bus..
