I have been looking at a 1976 range rover 3.5 v8 which comes with 3 engins,3 sets of wheels and tyres, brand new 50mm lift kit with king springs, rock sliders, extracters, tjm winch bar, spare gearbox and transfer case and fuel injection and it is up to $950.I was just wondering what you think of the deal and and what the 1976 rangies are like.

Is that the one on EBAY at the moment?
Would want to check things like Diffs and things as well.

I think I know the one you're on about.
If you have the space, time and expertise it's a good buy. What I've seen with people who buy project 4WD's is the lack of enthusiasm and hence why that bloke has offerd it up for sale.
Put simply, there over 30 years ols so expect the unexpected with a Rangier that age. Parts are dirt cheap and e-bay is your friend if you're after a bargain.
